Two more people have been arrested related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be pepper spray, as stated by police.

A 24-year-old man, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested for suspected conspiracy to commit robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women had stolen from them their suitcases upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A toddler aged three was one of the injured during the incident. Five people went to hospital for treatment and were later released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries while inquiries continue.

Authorities were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility briefly.
