AC Shadows Introduces Unexpected Attack on Titan Crossover for Holiday Season
In a bizarre collaboration that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has announced an digital partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual Thanksgiving event operates from November 25 through December 22, offering complimentary additional story content for Shadows players.
Strange Questline Revealed
According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls characters Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and fearsome changes reverberate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "unusually dressed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.
The mission focuses on "peculiar experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.
Familiar Locations and Changes
The teaser showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a powerful sequence showing a character, probably the prisoner, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
